New Year's Eve

Once again, we stayed home. Some of our New Year's traditions are drinking pink champagne and Welch's sparkling grape juice, eating shrimp and new potatoes, watching the ball drop in Times Square on TV, kissing each other (Mike has never missed a New Year's Eve kiss in ten years), and going outside and banging on pots and pans with wooden spoons to scare away the evil spirits. On New Year's Day, we do whatever it is we want to do more of in the coming year; this year, we all took an afternoon nap at the same time. Sublime domesticity!

These pictures are actually re-enacted poses; I accidentally deleted ALL of our original pix taken 'round midnight tryin to finger out my new camera. The kids and Mike were great about retaking them and they turned out even better!
